Instagram introduces a new way to control your Reels algorithm

You now have more control over what you see on Instagram.

In today’s attention economy, algorithms are optimized for engagement and advertising revenue rather than user intentions.

That’s why this Instagram’s update stands out.

The platform is introducing a new way for users to control what they see, starting with Reels.

You can add topics you want to see more of and also add topics you want to see less of.

This feature can be accessed by clicking on the two lines with hearts icon in the upper right corner of the Reels tab.

The feature is available now in the US and rolling out globally in English soon.
